Record Store Day - everything you need to know
Record Store Day has rolled back around, and so we thought we should put all the answers to your questions in one place.
- Record Store Day is taking place on Saturday 12th April.
- We will be open from 8am, until 4pm.
- All of our stock has been ordered, and is here, so what you see on THIS list is what we'll have available on the day. Check back on Friday afternoon when we'll take off anything that hasn't arrived.
- Everything is available on a first come, first served basis - nothing can be pre-ordered, or reserved.
- You can buy as much (or little) as you want, but it's one of each item per person.
- Anything that hasn't sold out on the day (or the following days) will be available online here from 8pm on Monday 14th April.
- If we sell out of something and you're desperate to get it, DON'T go on Ebay - it's full of touts selling things for ridiculous prices. You will likely be able to pick it up online on Monday evening from a shop somewhere in the UK for a normal price.
- We can sometimes pick up records after the day from our friends at shops in other parts of the country, so feel free to ask and we'll try our best.
- People do tend to queue up. In previous years we've had people queuing from midnight, but most people usually get here around 5am-6am. If there's something you're desperate to get, you'll definitely need to get up early, we don't have vast quantities of every release.
- We try to get the queue down as quickly as possible, but there will be a wait to get in to the shop up until around 10am or 11am, after that you should be able to walk in with no queuing.
- If you're coming early and will be queuing it helps us massively if you have a list of what you want to pick up. We will take lists off the first 20 people (or so) in the queue and bag it all up, so when we open at 8am you can walk in, pay and be home in bed a bit quicker.
